8/15/97 – 11/26/23
Joey changed quite a bit after that, he went into a dark space in his mind, depression and PTSD were not his friend. In the nine years since his cardiac arrest he went through more bad than good times until he met the love of his life, his wife and stepdaughter.
His last 4 years were happy with the family he created and I am so grateful for that.
What we would give to see you one last time wearing your favorite black beanie!
The ache and hurt we feel in your absence is like a black hole, there is no depth to the pain we feel.
I hope we can live life in a way that will make you proud of us, because I know you wouldn’t want it any other way.
You mattered Joey, your life mattered.
We will love you until the end of time,
Mom
